Hitachi cuts UV
High gloss, high end vertical solutions Laminex new CrystalGloss finish.
The Laminex Group has released CrystalGloss Surfaces,
a design finish that will raise the bar for vertical interior
surfaces and panels with exceptional high gloss.
With a choice of Clear High Gloss and Metallic High Gloss
finishes, CrystalGloss Surfaces are available in 40 contemporary
decors, including 28 colours hand-picked from the extensive
Laminex Colour Palette to deliver a brilliant high-gloss finish
that complements Laminex surfaces throughout the home.
The range also introduces 12 new metallic finishes. With
a stunning lustre that’s expertly crafted using the latest
technology from the automotive coatings industry, Laminex
CrystalGloss Metallic Surfaces feature a rich high-gloss clear
coating over a metallic base layer. It’s a new effect in interior
panels and cabinet doors.
Laminex CrystalGloss Surfaces are available in single- and
double-sided sheet options suitable for fabrication with
edging alternatives, or can be made to order as doors and
panels to suit individual design needs. A range of matching
or complementary edge finishes are available, with the
CrystalGloss Metallic range featuring ready-coated edges.
Laminex CrystalGloss Surfaces come with a seven-year
limited warranty.

UV rays emitted from interior pelmet, display and ceiling
lighting can cause premature colour fading in all sorts of retail
products – from jeans to magazine covers and everything in
between. UV rays can also result in light fittings becoming
brittle and potentially dangerous over time as well as
attracting swarming insects and bugs which die in the fitting
and require constant maintenance. Prolonged exposure to UV
rays are also potentially harmful to human eyes.
The latest in the range of Hitachi UV-cut fluorescent tubes,
the 28W T5 UV-cut skinny fluorescent tubes reduce UV rays
