The brainchild of Melbourne boilermaker and factory
manager Steve Ignatiadis, PostStay is an ingenious
invention that will become a must-have for builders.
“Be it in backyards, rural properties or on building sites,
the task of erecting posts has been carried out using
C-Clamps and off cuts or whatever could be scrounged up
on site to support the post,” says Steve Ignatiadis. “I set out
to make the process more efficient, precise and safer.”
PostStay is a quality, commercial-grade support system
for installing posts into concrete footings. It can also be
used to position plate-mounted posts before they are
secured to slabs with concrete anchors.

Fully supported
Designed to suspend, plumb and secure
posts of various sizes, materials and
shapes over footings prior to concrete fill,
the PostStay system reduces the labour-intensive tasks normally required in post
erection, making it a one-man operation.
Once the post is suspended in position,
it’s fully supported and ready to be
plumbed and secured awaiting inspection
and concrete fill.

New Holland has launched a competition unlike anything
ever seen before in the construction industry – the prize is the
chance to win a seat on a commercial space flight, valued at
over $300,000. The competition, which will give entrants a shot
at winning a seat on a Virgin Galactic sub-orbital flight, is
believed to be the first of its kind in Australia.
“New Holland machines have always been ahead of the pack
in terms of innovation,” says New Holland Australian Brand
Leader Wayne Munce. “We thought this competition was a
great way to represent our forward thinking.”
A definite commencement date for Virgin Galactic’s flights
has not yet been announced but it is believed the service will
launch in the near future.
New Holland says the competition is open to anyone who
owns or operates earthmoving equipment, no matter what
brand. “This promotion is unique, so we wanted to open it up
to as many people as possible,” says Wayne Munce. “We’ll
offer additional entries to anyone who test drives a New
Holland skid steer, backhoe, telehandler or mini excavator,
and we’re rewarding New Holland customers with 10 extra
entries when they make a purchase.”

resistant gloves
Ansell has launched the Alpha Tec 58-270, a new lightweight
chemical-resistant, liquid-proof glove designed to enable the
handling of oily and slippery parts.
Until now, workers handling harmful chemicals or oily parts
weren’t able to protect their skin without compromising their
comfort and dexterity. The new glove provides precise handling
and grip, and improves productivity because wearers don’t
lose time changing gloves. more info: ansell.com.au n
